Earthquake in Haiti

Here we have another blurred edge picture with a boy and a girl. Is the blurring used for the same affect?

Why might it be important to produce art about tragic things?


This photograph was taken after the Earthquake in Haiti in 2011. This is an image at the collapsed school. Many students died at their desks. How can we use art to help/impact the world?


Follow up:

Research and write a paragraph about 5 social constructs, natural elements, or political policies that affect you personally.


From those five choose one issue to research further into. Make seven thumbnails for artworks that address that issue. After discussing with the teacher, and choosing your best idea from the thumbnails make an artwork.
